~Marie Yowell, age 95, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, California. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Marie was born October 25, 1917 to the late Clyde E. and Cora (Houchin) Gary in Ladonia, Texas. She and Bethel Ezel Yowell were married January 31, 1936 in Paducah, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1994. Marie was a devoted homemaker to her family and a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy Gay and Donna Kay; and one sister, Nina Herring.

Survivors include two sons: Gary Yowell and wife Jo Ann of Olney, Texas, Roger Yowell and wife Mary Ann of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; four grandsons: Phillip Yowell and wife Patricia of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Lincoln Yowell and wife Joy of O'Fallon, Missouri, Brent Yowell of Baytown, Texas, and Jason Yowell and wife Melinda of Dallas, Texas; four granddaughters: Karla Turner and husband Stacy of Olney, Texas, Coetta Garvis and husband Bobby of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Loretta Hefley and husband Darrell of Fresno, California, and Suetta Miller and husband Randy of Houston, Texas; seventeen great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and seven great-great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
