Marsha Richardson, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home in Newcastle, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Olney with Paul McQuerry, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church of Graham, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Elbert Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Marsha was born April 25, 1948 in Ranger, Texas to the late Harvie Baker Rexroat and Bessie Marie (Williams) Rexroat. She married Larry Richardson on March 9, 1974 in Clyde, Texas and had resided in the Newcastle area since 1976. She received her Masters of Education from Tarleton State University and retired from teaching after 42 years in education. Marsha had a heart for kids of all ages and loved to teach kids to read. She had a deep love for her family and her students, and she left a positive impact on many people of all ages. Marsha loved to read, garden and loved sewing and quilting. She played the piano at church for many years. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association and was an officer in the Olney local ATPE. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Olney.

Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Richardson of Newcastle, Texas; two daughters: Necia Leigh Richardson Marin and husband Ismo of Graham, Texas and Leah Beth Richardson Greer and husband Zack of Weatherford, Texas; six grandchildren: Lawson Marin, Maddyx Marin, McCrae Marin, Isabella Greer, Reagan Geer, Delaney Greer; two brothers: Danny Rexroat of May, Texas and Roger Rexroat of Gordon, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
