Martha Jean Moody, age 74 of Newcastle, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Martha was born on October 13, 1947 in Olney, Texas to the late Joseph "Joe" Allison and Billie Byrl (McEntire) Allison. She graduated from Newcastle High School in 1966 and graduated from LVN school in 1968. She was a lifetime resident of Newcastle and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Newcastle. She married Steve Eddleman on August 5, 1966. She later married Johnny Moody in 2008. He preceded her in death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jolyne Hope; her son, Todd Eddleman; and her niece, Robbie Cartwright

Survivors include one daughter, Allison Eddleman and Gary Fowler of Newcastle; one brother, Rhea Allison and wife Jackie of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Kim Eddleman of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren: Cody Eddleman of Denton, Hailey Susko of Denton, Brooke Eddleman of Frisco and Kaylee Eddleman of Frisco; and four nephews: Dr. Joseph Allison of Yukon, Oklahoma, Justin Allison of Ft. Worth, Jody King of Graham and David Burgess of Graham.
