Obituary

Martha Mae Williams, age 91, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.

Martha was born on February 15, 1931, in Newport, Texas to the late George Ira Willis and Dula Mae (Smith) Willis. She married Delton Williams on October 12, 1952, in Henrietta, Texas and they moved to Olney in 1955. She was a retired bookkeeper. Martha was a faithful member of Hamilton Street Church of Christ and was a Bible School teacher for many years. She was a past member of Sweet Adelines and the Olney Garden Club. She was very active with her children's and grandchildren's school activities and played the piano for an elementary school concert. Her number one activity for most of her 91 years was taking care of her loving family.

Martha was preceded in death by her grandparents: George Asa and Martha (Dixon) Willis and Grover Cleveland and Amie Viola (Palmer) Smith; her parents, George Ira and Dula Mae (Smith) Willis; her husband, E. Delton Williams; her daughter, Laura Martha Adams; her son-in-law, Ronald D. Capps; two brothers: Loal Willis and Grover C. Willis; and her sister, Wanda Fay Aston.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Trudy Treon Capps of Olney; her son and daughter-in-law, Cully Delton Williams and wife Jan of Olney; seven grandchildren: Rebecca and Johnny Castro, Lauri and Craig Harmel, Sammy and Andrea Livingston, Jodi and Jason Hankins, Marshall and Sara Capps, Cully Russ Adams, and John Capps; and twelve great-grandchildren: Cooper Castro, Carson Castro, Camryn Castro, Aidan Bishop, Ashton Bishop, Adalyn Harmel, Anna Harmel, Lathen Hankins, Covey Hankins, Henry Capps, Charlotte Capps and Sawyer Livingston.
