Mary Castro, age 86, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Deacon Adolfo Gonzales, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Mary was born on March 4, 1936, in Knox City, Texas to the late Juan Yzaguirre and Fermana (Garcia) Yzaguirre. She moved to Olney in 1955 from Knox City. She was a really hard worker. She worked at Haggar Slacks for many years and had worked at Hamilton Hospital in the laundry department until her retirement in February of 2022. Mary enjoyed going to the casino. She also enjoyed cooking and was a very good cook. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she was a very loving mother.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and a son, Rueben Castro, Sr.

Mary is survived by two sons: Ralph Castro of Olney and Jessie Castro and wife Shanna of Graham; two sisters-in-law: Angie Yzaguirre of Olney and Minnie Fuentes of Wichita Falls; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
