Mary Guinn Moore, age 99, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Jesse Edwards, pastor of First Baptist Church Newcastle, officiating, assisted by Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church Olney. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Mary was born September 9, 1915 in the Flint Creek Community in Young County to James Knox Guinn and Fannie Eva (Robertson) Guinn. She married Andrew C. Moore on January 16, 1942 in Graham, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2004. Mary was a graduate of the George B. Hamilton School of Nursing in Olney, class of 1961. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Olney for many years. Mary was a lifelong resident of Young County and a member of First Baptist Church in Olney.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew C. Moore, three sisters: Bessie Harris, Evelyn Dickinson and infant Lila Guinn; five brothers: Cecil Guinn, Emory Guinn, Russell Guinn, James Guinn and William "Bud" Guinn.

Survivors include her two sons, Thomas Moore of Olney, Texas and James Moore of Worcester, Massachusetts.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
