Mary Childress Page, age 86, died September 26, 2018 in Henrietta, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Mary was born on November 4, 1931 in Archer County, Texas to the late Rufus G. and Era Mae (Hart) Childress. She attended Elementary School in Megargel before moving to Olney in 1942. She graduated from Olney High School in 1949 and from Midwestern State University in 1972 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Mary started working at Hamilton Hospital when she was sixteen years old, and after receiving her degree, she worked in patient care and in the operating room for twenty years. She was a faithful member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ and was a member of the AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses). She loved to paint and was a member of Marilyn Cantrell's painting class. Mary married James Freddie Page on May 17, 1958 in Olney. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Rhodes, and by her brothers, Howard Childress, Fred Childress and Frank Childress.

Mary is survived by one son, Lindy Page and wife Mary of Bowie, Texas; two daughters, Melody Mae Bruning and husband Richard of Redlands, California and Noralyn Ripps and husband Greg of San Antonio, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
