Mary Nell Rodgers of Olney, Texas passed away on March 8, 2015 at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Mary Nell was born in Old Glory, Texas on January 2, 1930 to Tom and Ella Mae (Fletcher) Hitch. She was a resident of Olney since 1960, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Unity Bible Class. May Nell married Clifton C. Rodgers on January 12, 1948 in Graham, Texas. She was a certified nurse's aide and had been the activity director at Seven Oaks Nursing Home until her retirement in 2003. Mary Nell was a member of the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary where she proudly volunteered as a "Pink Lady". She was admired for being a wonderful mom, grandmother and great-grandmother affectionately known as "GiGi".

Mary Nell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton C. Rodgers; son, Dennis Rodgers; granddaughter, Leanne Townsend; seven brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Danny Rodgers of Denton, Texas; daughter, Sandy Tomeo and husband Rich of Wylie, Texas; sisters, Dianna Manuel and Bessie Hitch both of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren: Jennifer Windham and husband Michael, Chris Rodgers and wife Becky, Craig Rodgers, Taylor Townsend and Jonne Wilmore and husband Terry; and seven great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Harrell Braddock, Jr., pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Elbert Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
