Mattie Jones
OLNEY Mattie Jones, age 76, died Friday, June 15, 2012 in Olney, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 18, 2012, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Mac McLeod of Paris, Texas officiating assisted by Andy Graham. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Mattie was born on August 27, 1935 to the late Jim and Mirtie McLeod Tatom in Snyder, Texas. She and Billy Jones were married in 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1973. In 1978, she and L.R. Jones were married in Archer City, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2009. Mattie was a homemaker and member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Dean Jones on June 11, 2011 a daughter Debbie Wagner on September 15, 2009 and a grandson, Bud Harmon on June 12, 2012.
Survivors include sons: Gary Jones and wife Cheryl of Sweetwater, Texas, Mike Jones of Olney, Texas, and Shane Jones of Colony, Kansas daughters: Debbie Welborn and husband Leland of Wichita Falls, Texas, Lisa McGowan of Mason, Texas, Tresa Harmon of Dublin, Texas, Brenda Massingale and husband Carl of Jacksboro, Texas, and Teresa Colgan and husband Ben of Olney, Texas also twenty grandchildren and thirtyone great grandchildren.
