Melissa L. Garza
Melissa L.  Garza, age 54, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at her home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Dr. Chad Edgington, Pastor of First Baptist Church-Olney, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Melissa was born on February 20, 1971, in Olney, Texas, to Donnie and Betty (Burcham) Horton. She married Randy Garza in March of 1990, in Olney, Texas. They were married for thirty-five years before her death. Melissa had a servant's heart and found joy in helping people. She enjoyed refurbishing things and making them look new. Melissa loved gardening and helping people design their flower beds or porch pots. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Melissa is survived by her father, Donnie Horton of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; her mother and step-father, Betty Serratt and husband Dennis of Ft. Worth, Texas, her husband Randy Garza of Wichita Falls, Texas; her daughter, Kenedi Claire Garza of Wichita Falls, Texas;  three sons and  two daughters-in-law: Randy Garza, Jr. and wife Anahi of Wichita Falls, Texas, Camron Diego Garza and wife Isabella of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ricardo Jean Garza of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Daneil Carter and husband Scott of Saginaw, Texas, Patricia Hawley and husband Larry of Kansas, and Heather Dodson and husband Bo of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Dustin Serratt and wife Cara of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Lane Campbell, Bentley Garza, Sienna Garza, and Cecilia Garza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
