Mike Lewis

Mike Lewis, age 79, passed away on January 16, 2026, at his home in Troup, Texas. There are no memorial services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Mike was born on August 7, 1946, in Trinidad, Colorado, to the late Robert and Mildred Lewis. He married Dorothy “Elaine” Clayton on February 24, 1973, at Southside Baptist Church in Olney, Texas. They spent almost twenty years together before she preceded him in death in January of 1992. Mike worked for the City of Olney for several years before his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed watching old westerns and the Dallas Cowboys. Mike truly enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He also liked to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy “Elaine” (Clayton) Lewis, and his son Michael “Shane” Lewis.

Mike is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Russ Adams, his four grandchildren: Cierra Messimer and husband Trey, Cully Adams, Eli Lewis, and Caleb Lewis, and his three great-grandsons.
