Mildred Butler, age 83, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Olney, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Olney with Father John Pechaco, officiating. Interment will follow in the Windthorst Cemetery in Windthorst, Texas, under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Mildred was born on October 26, 1932 in Graham, Texas to the late Emmet and Winnie (Choate) Rodden. She was a lifetime resident of Olney and a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society. She married Frank Butler on June 10, 1952 in Breckenridge, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Chris McElroy.

Mildred is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Frank Butler of Olney; son, Ed Butler and wife Debbie of Graham; daughter, Susan McElroy and husband Mike of Olney; brother, Guy Dale Rodden of Jacksboro; five grandchildren: Quad Butler of Houston, Dusty McElroy of Olney, William Butler of Graham, Benjamin Butler of Greenville, Katie Rowe of Archer City; two great-grandchildren: Christopher McElroy of Olney and Luke Butler of Graham.

Rosary will be at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home.
