Obituary

Myleigh Denise Montgomery, age 17, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, in Olney, Texas. A celebration of life will be held on September 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Gazebo at Megargel Cemetery. Lunch will follow at Mustang Hall, 301 Cedar Street in Megargel, Texas.

Myleigh was born on November 24, 2007, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Robert and Jennifer (Ott) Montgomery. She moved to Henrietta in 2021 with her parents, from Olney. Myleigh was a sophomore at Henrietta High School, where she participated in the band; she was also a member of the Olney High School Band before her move to Henrietta. She was a cheerleader in the Top of Texas during her younger years. Myleigh had never me a stranger and was known to love life and everything in it, and she lived life to the fullest. The family has chosen a penned excerpt that describes Myleigh perfectly:        I have a wild daughter.

She laughs louder than life, runs faster than my patience can sometimes keep up with, and feels everything with a heart that's way too big for her tiny body.

She doesn't tiptoe into rooms. She bursts in like sunlight.

She doesn't hold back her love. She gives it all away, without hesitation.

And honestly, some days I feel like I'm just trying to keep up. Trying to meet her in the storm without dimming her light. Trying to hold space for the fierceness that makes her exactly who she is.

One day, she's going to move mountains. But today, I'll be here. Holding her hand, soaking in her wildness, and reminding myself that she's not too much. She is just enough.

Even on the hard days. Especially on the hard days.

I wouldn't trade her for the world.
