Nat Black, age 93, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Nat was born on November 5, 1924 in Young County, Texas, to the late Eugene Harrison Black and Jessie Louise (James) Black. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. He married Frances Sutton on March 3, 1949, in Denton, Texas. Nat was a long-time resident of Olney where he was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He retired from Air Tractor where he worked in the final assembly experimental department. He was a long-time member of the Olney Lions Club, and attended the Lions Club International Convention in Chicago in 1958. Nat loved to read, loved to fish and hunt, and to do crafts and build things. He built some of the clocks that once hung on the walls at Hamilton Hospital. He liked going to Bluegrass Festivals and truly enjoyed traveling in his travel trailer. Nat was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, L.C. Black, and a sister, Ruby Jackson.

Nat is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Black of Olney, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Susan Black of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren: Lauren Black and Ryan Black, both of Dallas, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home.
