Nell Ray Hardesty, age 86, of Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019. Nell was born, the youngest of nine children, on August 23, 1932 in Graham, Texas to Bill and Leoma (Gilmore) Cole. Nell was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Billie Joe Hardesty and a grandson, Christopher Hardesty. Nell is survived by her children Billy Hardesty of Abilene, Texas, Cherilyn and Thomas Roane of Alvord, Texas, and Dana and Stan Clay of Corinth, Texas. Nell was blessed with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 110 West Elm Street, Olney, Texas with Reverend Harrell Braddock, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Lunn Funeral Home, 300 South Avenue M in Olney, Texas.
