Noma Lee Morrison, age 93, passed away May 22, 2012 in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012, with Joe Baxter, her nephew officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Belknap Cemetery, at Ft. Belknap, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Noma was born on August 31, 1918 to the late Elick and Ella Wardrip Baxter in Shannon, Texas. She and L.C. Morrison were married on May 17, 1937 in Graham, Texas. Noma was a homemaker, and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. She was also an extremely talented guitarist, and a very popular performer at many of the musical events around the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on September 7, 1988, and her grandson, Jim Morrison in 1992.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Morrison of Bryson, Texas three grandsons: Brandon Morrison and fiancee Georgena of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ronny Morrison and wife Dee Dee of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mark Morrison and wife Kim of Spain also six greatgrandchildren.
