Patricia (Downing) Hobbs

Patricia (Downing) Hobbs, age 84, passed away on April 3, 2026, at Olney Rehabilitation and Care Center. Family visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Josh Hagle, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Patricia was born on September 21, 1941, to the late Hubert and Mary Katherine (Green) Downing in Olney, Texas. On March 6, 1970, she married Jackie Hobbs in Olney, and they spent forty-three years together before he preceded her in death in November 2013. Patricia was a former employee of Haggar Slacks and later became a homemaker. She loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jackie Hobbs, her son, Freddy Glynn Willingham, her son Danny Austin Willingham, her brother, Benton Downing, and her sister, Charlene Davis.

Patricia is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert Willingham and wife Maria, of Olney, Texas, and Joe Pat Willingham and wife Dalia, of Olney, Texas; her twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; her five great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Glenda Smith, of Olney, Texas.
