Paula Benton, age 68, died Saturday, June 26, 2021. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Paula was born on August 11, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Charlie and Geraldine (Bishop) Newsom. She married Eddy Benton on November 23, 1966 in Dallas and they moved to Olney in 1982 from Grand Prairie. She was a rural mail carrier until her retirement. She was a very hard worker. Paula enjoyed cooking and gardening, arts and crafts and decorating her home. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Eddy Benton of Olney; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Steve Gray of Olney; one grandchild; one great-grandchild and one on the way.
