Pauline Bernhardt, age 100, died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at St. Luke39s Lutheran Church in Olney with Pastor Sean Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Pauline was born on October 27, 1911 in Archer County, Texas to the late Julius and Pauline Bertha Arlitt Kunkel. She and Paul M. Bernhardt were married on June 10, 1934 in Olney, Texas. Pauline had worked as a store clerk at Horany39s Department Store in Olney for twenty years. She was a lifetime resident of Olney. Pauline was a member of St. Luke39s Lutheran Church. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband on November 8, 1988 her son Charles Ray Bernhardt in 2004 a brother J.O. Kunkel in 1997 a sister Hertha Schwettman in 1969 and daughterinlaw Deanna McGowen Bernhardt in 2008.

Survivors include two sons Gene Paul Bernhardt and wife Marilyn of Amarillo, Texas, Larry J. Bernhardt and wife Beverly of Tulsa, Oklahoma a daughter Sharon K. Daugherty and husband Rev. Ervin of Kincaid, Kansas nine grandchildren, one step grandchild, seventeen great grandchildren, and three greatgreat grandchildren three sisterinlaws Eleanor Robbins of Arnold, Maryland, Elizabeth Parker of Rockwall, Texas, and Margot Bernhardt of Ketchum, Oklahoma. The family wishes to express many thanks to the staff of Seven Oaks Nursing Home and Solaris Hospice for their compassionate care and friendship.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 57 pm at the funeral home.
