Obituary

Ralph Honey, age 88, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Grace Care Center in Olney. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ralph was born on September 6, 1932 in Parma, Idaho to the late Arthur T. and Ester (Ferrell) Honey. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the Army Occupation Medal (Japan). After the war, he received his Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement and served as a Peace Officer in California. Ralph enjoyed hunting and camping and he liked to travel. He could find humor in any situation. He married Rita Viola Whaite on March 22, 1986 in Austin, Texas and they moved to Olney in 2006.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sonny Honey and Lester Honey, and two sisters, Lois Tubbs and Evelyn Swanson.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Honey of Olney, Texas; one son, Jeff Capps of Montague, California; one step-son, Ralph Whaite and wife Melanie of Waco, Texas; one sister, Grace Roderick of Grants Pass, Oregon; five grandchildren, Avery Whaite, Miranda Whaite, Victoria Cook, Sunnie Capps and Bobby Capps; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
