Ralph Shawver, age 76, died Monday, July 26, 2021, in Galveston, Texas. Family visitation will be on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Gary Elrod, pastor of Faith Center in Graham, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at the Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ralph was born on March 7, 1945, in Olney, Texas to the late Lawrence Edward Shawver and Virginia LaRue (Lane) Shawver. He graduated from Megargel High School and then attended Draughn's Business School. He worked in the maintenance department at Hamilton Hospital. Ralph moved from Olney to Angleton, Texas in 1972 and he began working as an electrician and instrumentation technician with Dow Chemical. He retired from Dow after working for almost forty years. Ralph loved animals and loved children.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Meredith Shawver; brother-in-law, Ronnie Goolsby; mother-in-law, Lucille Goolsby; son, Jerry Lee Shadden; and his former wife and mother of his children, Rosemary Shawver.

Ralph is survived by his domestic partner, Mildred "Sissy" Shadden of Angleton, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Tommie and Kimberly Shawver of Graham, Texas; two daughters, Tammie Morgan and husband Jim of Barberton, Ohio and Tawnya Shawver of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Pete Shawver of Megargel, Texas; one sister, Stormy Shawver Echols and husband Joe of Olney, Texas; brother-in-law, Richard Goolsby and Jo Ann Miller of Brazoria, Texas; sister-in-law, Wilma Goolsby; six grandchildren, Haven Shawver, Kylie Morgan, Crystal Durand, Caleb Morgan, Joshua Durand and Sarah Jean Hoelewyn; several great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces, Ron Roy Goolsby and wife Laura, Bryan Goolsby, Robbie Dean Goolsby and wife Jennifer, Richard Goolsby, Missy Goolsby, Amy Goolsby and Chris Goolsby; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
