Raul Cruz, Sr., age 76, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Grace Care Center in Olney.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with his son-in-law, Rudy Bueno, Jr., officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Raul was born March 15, 1943 in Harlingen, Texas to the late Francisco and Francisca (Cortez) Cruz, Sr. He was a laborer until his retirement. He moved to Olney in March, 2019 from Edinburg, Texas and was a devout Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Manuela Cruz; two brothers, Pedro Cruz and Felix Cruz; and a granddaughter, Sarah Cruz.

Survivors include one son, Raul Cruz, Jr. of Olney, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Joe Cerda of Olney, Texas, Diana and Rudy Bueno, Jr. of Olney, Texas, Rosanna and Mark Corwin of Graham, Texas; one brother, Francisco Cruz, Jr. of Edinburg, Texas; two sisters, Lupe Cazares of Edinburg, Texas and Juanita Cruz of Brownsville, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
