Reba Jackson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reba Jean Jackson, age 78, who departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Throckmorton County Memorial Hospital in Throckmorton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with C.J. Frazier officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Reba married the love of her life, James D. “Pete” Jackson, Sr., on September 19, 1964. Reba lived a life defined by love, kindness, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and source of comfort to all who knew her. Reba dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She had a lot of laughter, always had a smile, unless she decided to be in one of her stubborn moods, but even then, she would smile. She was an amazing mother and had an unconditional love for her family. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in remembering her beautiful spirit, unwavering faith, and the many lives she enriched. Her legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will continue through the family she cherished so deeply. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her compassion touched countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband James “Pete” Jackson, her parents Ada and Bud, her grandson Kyle Jackson, and her siblings.

Reba is survived by her three children: Bronco Jackson and his wife, Terry, Tonya Frazier and her husband, David, and James “Rowdy” Jackson, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
