Retha Rebecca Young Rodgers, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away July 22, 2011. She was born December 1, 1929, to Benjamin Columbus and Vera Jo Young, in Padgett, TX and was a 13 year resident of Nevada. Retha was a wonderful woman who spent her life as a homemaker, a medical assistant, an Abilene Reporter News Courier, and a Shackelford County Justice of the Peace. Her family meant the world to her and she always enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by her brother John Paul Young Sr., her sister Pauline Jo Dearing, her sons Larry Eugene and Robert Wayne Sipes, her stepdaughter Rebecca Jean Gillespie, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Services were held at Lunn Funeral Home, 300 South Ave. M, Olney, TX, 76374, 9405645533. Visitation Friday, July 29. Funeral 10AM, Saturday, July 30. Interment was in Restland Cemetery.
