Reuel C. "R.C." Gauger, age 87, died December 22, 2018 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney, Texas, with Rev. Sean Reeves, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

R.C. was born November 25, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Emil Carl Gauger and Ella Martha (Kasten) Gauger. He received his Bachelor of Theology Degree from Concordia Seminary in Springfield, Illinois and served as pastor of Lutheran churches in Texas and North Dakota until his retirement. He married Janice Jeske on June 13, 1966 in Olney, Texas and was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Hope Gauger.

R.C. is survived by his wife, Janice Jeske Gauger of Olney; two sons, Timothy Gauger of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and Benjamin Gauger of Fargo, North Dakota; one daughter, Amanda Gauger of Las Vegas, Nevada; and one grandson, Noah Orozco of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Family visitation will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home.
