Rheudean Helton, age 88, died Monday, August 13, 2018 in Weatherford, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. Claude Hendricks, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Lunn Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Rheudean was born on November 29, 1929 in Newcastle, Texas to the late Virgil N. Woolfolk and Frances Ellen (Briscoe) Woolfolk. She graduated from Newcastle High School and attended Draughan's Business School. She married Melvin Helton on December 18, 1948, in Newcastle, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2003. Rheudean was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed creating beautiful wedding dresses for many people in and around Olney for many, many years. She also liked making curtains and comforters. She was a member of the Olney Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Louise Woolfolk Ward, and a brother, V.W. Woolfolk.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Helton and wife Elizabeth of Grand Prairie, Texas; two daughters: Lynda Helton Leatherwood and husband Steve of Olney and Vickye Helton Schultz and husband Ed of Aledo; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
