Richard Guerra, age 78, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Stephen Collard, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Lunn Funeral Home.

Richard was born on August 14, 1940 in Alice, Texas to the late Ricardo Guerra, Sr. and Francisca Garcia Guerra. He married Adela Trejo on June 3, 1958 in Alice, Texas and they later moved to Olney to make it their home. He was the former owner of Richard's 66 for over forty years. He was very outgoing and loved his family and his Olney friends and customers. He also loved to go fishing. Richard was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Song Leader until his health prevented him from doing so. He also attended Cowboy Church at Southside Baptist Church. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Adela, and a daughter, Rachael Petit.

Survivors include his two daughters, Yolanda Corwin and Christina Smith, both of Olney, eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
