Ricky Joe York, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ricky was born on July 7, 1953 in Olney, Texas to George P. York and Thelma Louise (Shimp) York. He was a lifetime resident of Olney and was a member of the Church of God. Ricky served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for many years. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, George P. York, and two brothers, Robert York and Sandy Dale York.

Ricky is survived by his mother and step-father, Thelma and Elvis Davis of Megargel, Texas; one sister, Sheree Owens of Olney, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
