Riley Hampton, age 71, died Friday June 3, 2011 at his residence in Megargel, Texas. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Megargel Cemetery with Kelly Russell of First Baptist Church of Olney officiating. Burial with Masonic Honors will follow. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Riley was born October 25, 1939 in Odessa, Texas to the late O.V. and Bessie Mae Baker Hampton. He was a retired professor of English from Louisiana State University. Riley was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1158 of Wichita Falls, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a multitude of loving cousins, friends, and extended family.
