Robert "Bob" D. Dillard, age 88, died Monday, January 6, 2025, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be at 11:30 on January 16, 2025, at Hamilton Street Church of Christ in Olney, Texas, with Scotte Clark officiating. Lunch will follow immediately after the service.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Bob was born on January 16, 1936, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Dewey and Bertha (Borchers) Dillard. He married his wife Charlene Jordan on October 27, 1971, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and spent over forty years together before she preceded him in death in 2013. Bob was a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force for twenty-two years before his retirement in 1976, after his retirement, he worked as a V.A. Pharmacist Technician. Bob and Charlene moved to Olney in 2003 from St. Petersburg, Florida, and were active members of  the Assembly of God and then the Hamilton Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking, where he created different wood carvings or trinkets.  Bob was an avid attendee and a loyal supporter of the Olney Senior Cub Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charlene Dillard, his brother Charles W. Dillard, his sister-in-law, Eileen Dillard, his stepdaughter Janice Herring and his stepson, Jerry Ming .

Bob is survived by his children: Rosa L. Allen and husband Edward of Elko, Georgia; Kenneth W. Dillard of Fredericksburg, Texas; Leah E. Dillard of Castroville, Texas; Dwayne L. Dillard of Castroville, Texas; Melinda L. Shea and husband Chris of  Suisun City, California; and his step-daughter Kathy Johns and husband Pete of Kiln, Mississippi, his niece Diana Rolando and husband Anthony of Canto, Illinois, his step-daughter in law Judith Ming of Olney, Texas, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
