Ron Capps, age 73, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ron was born May 17, 1940 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Marshall and Ruby Pauline (Swift) Capps. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He and Trudy T. Williams were married on April 13, 1987 in Olney, Texas. Ron was a lifelong resident of Olney where he was active in the community seeking the best for the citizens of Olney. He had served as a member of the Olney City Council, the Olney Independent School District Board of Trustees, the Downtown Men's Bible Class, the Board of Directors for First National Bank of Olney, and the Board of Trustees for the Endowment Trust for Olney Cemeteries.

Ron is survived by his wife, Trudy Capps of Olney, Texas; his three sons: Sammy Joe Livingston of Okeechobee, Florida, Marshall Emerson Capps of Austin, Texas, and John Morgan Capps of Olney, Texas; brother-in-law, Cully D. Williams and wife Jan; nieces: Rebecca Castro, Lauri Harmel, and Jodi Hankins; and nephew Cully Russ Adams.

Family visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home.
