Rosie Lillie Kulhanek, age 88, passed away Tuesday evening, January 27, at Bethesda Memory Care in Fort Worth, TX.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with a family lunch from 12-1:30 pm in St. Mary Parish hall (stop by to visit), Rosary at 1:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Megargel, TX. Burial immediately after the Mass at the Megargel Cemetery.

Rosie was born May 10, 1937, in Megargel, TX, to the late Jerry R. and Lillie A. (Cernosek) Miller. After graduating from Megargel High School in 1955, Rosie worked as a telephone operator and nanny before marrying Charlie John Kulhanek on January 26, 1957. She was a member of the KJZT and St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Megargel. She enjoyed gardening, playing board games, polka dancing, cooking, baking, canning, walking, and keeping up with her kids' and grandkids' activities. She served as Den Mother for her sons’ Cub Scout troop and Girl Scout Leader for her daughters’ troop. She also helped her husband, Charlie, work at his feed/fertilizer store, running the grain elevators, and bringing him meals while he was farming. Rosie and Charlie also competed in 5K races for a while.

Survivors include her children: Rosalie Kulhanek, Dave (Stephanie) Kulhanek, Teresa (Scott) Kerr, all of Fort Worth, TX; Veronica (Mike) Wimmer of Mansfield, TX; Anthony (Violet) Kulhanek of Lantana, TX; Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Shaffer of Wichita Falls. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie J. Kulhanek; her parents, Jerry & Lillie Miller; her brothers, Jerry F., Henry, and Richard Miller; her sisters, Georgia Miller and Agnes Gentry; her son, Charlie J. Kulhanek Jr.; and her granddaughter, Madison Kulhanek.

Pallbearers/Honorary Pallbearers will be: Aaron, Connor, and Jake Kulhanek, Phil and Chris Wimmer, Daniel and Maddox Kulhanek, Kyle Ousley, Victor Kulhanek, and Glen and Peyton Kulhanek.
