Sarah Dell Holley, age 90, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Memorial services and a celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Elbert Baptist Church in Elbert, Texas, with Frankie Bailey, officiating.

Sarah was born on February 20, 1932, in Elbert, Texas to the late Grover Eugene Sorgee and Olive Ruth (Nunn) Sorgee. She graduated from Throckmorton High School in 1950 and she was a member of Elbert Baptist Church. Sarah had worked at John's Jewelers in Olney for several years. She moved from Elbert to Graham in 1987 and enjoyed being a greeter at the Graham Wal-Mart. She married Edgar Ray Holley on December 5, 1987, in Graham, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1999. She was an immaculate house keeper, loved the outdoors, and took great pride in her lawn care. She won the "Yard of the Week" several times at her Graham residence. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved cooking, decorating and the special family time cherished by all. Sarah always looked forward to the special times she spent with her grandsons and her great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers: Vernon Sorgee, Guy Sorgee and Revis "Bobby" Sorgee; and a sister, Juanita D. Keeter.

Sarah is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Craig and LaRee Cowan of Archer City and David and Elaine Cowan of Elbert; two grandsons: Clay Cowan of Burkburnett and Brady and wife Sally Cowan of Amarillo; and one great-granddaughter, Logan Laine Cowan of Amarillo.
