Sharon Diann Parsley, age 65, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Southside Baptist Church in Olney with Jody Forbus, pastor of Carbon Community Church in Carbon, Texas, officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Sharon was born on September 26, 1951 in Odessa Texas, to the late Oscar and Emma (Corley) Forbus. She was a resident of Young County most of her life. Sharon was a retired Wal-Mart Associate. She gave her life to Christ at age 11. She enjoyed working with horses and dogs and spending time with her family. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Ray and Charles "Bubby" Forbus.

Sharon is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; James (Duke) and Shannon Forbus of Boyd, Texas, and Michael and Iris Forbus of Graham, Texas; By two daughters and sons-in-law; Melissa and Marty Lawless of Sobol, Oklahoma, and Mona and Tony Bennett of Newcastle, Texas; One brother and sister-in-law; Freddie and Sherita Forbus of Graham, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Family visitation will be on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
