Shawn Lee Bentley, age 54 of Burkburnett, Texas, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Bobby Scott, minister of Lighthouse Church in Burkburnett, Texas, officiating.  Burial will follow at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Shawn was born on June 18, 1967, in Olney, Texas to James Alvin Bentley and Wanda Fay (Richardson) Bentley. He was a mechanic for the City of Wichita Falls and owned his own trucking company, B CAT (Baylor County Auto Transport). He loved to work and worked all of his life. Shawn could fix anything and was always working on something. He could barter with anyone. He loved to ride motorcycles. Shawn loved his family and was a mamma's boy.

Shawn is preceded in death by his father, James Alvin Bentley; his mother and step-father, Wanda Richardson Irby and James T. Irby; and a daughter, Heather Bentley.

Shawn is survived by four sons: Bradley Bentley, Patrick Bentley, Johnathan Torresillas and Ethen Bentley, all of Burkburnett, Texas; three daughters: Amber Bentley, Myrie Bentley and A'niah Bentley, all of Burkburnett, Texas; two brothers: Harley Roam of Rosharon, Texas and James Bentley of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters: Miranda Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas and Bridy Cantrell of Balsora, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews..
