Shelby Earl Snow, Sr., age 82, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Shelby was born on April 15, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Sherman Snow and Vivian (Webb) Snow. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and received his honorable discharge February 1, 1961, where he transferred to the Army Reserves until 1964. He was a maintenance repairman in the Army and used his skills later in life to work at apartment complexes. He was good with tools and could fix anything. He married Deloris Stringham on October 12, 1968, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She preceded in death on October 21, 2023. He was a good father and grandfather. His grandkids loved to spend time with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, Shelby Earl "Storme" Snow, Jr.

Shelby is survived by two sons: Dusty Snow and wife Terri of Olney and Justin Snow of Olney; two sisters: Sandra Quillen of Burleson, Texas and Beverly Payne of Ft. Worth, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
