Shirley Dodson, age 66, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Memorial graveside services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Newcastle Cemetery Gazebo, with Wayne Peters, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Shirley was born on April 22, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Harold and Jewel Franklin. She attended Tulsa County Junior College and received a certificate in bookkeeping. She married Bob Dodson on February 14, 1976 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shirley loved cooking and was the owner of the Hole In The Wall in Newcastle. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Tharp, and two brothers, Larry Franklin and Michael Franklin.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Bob Dodson of Graham; two daughters, Tia Tozer of Newcastle and Kari PR. Dodson of Ft. Worth; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Keitha Monroe of Olney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
