Shirley R. McWhorter, age 81, died Monday, February 20, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Shirley was born on July 20, 1935 in Olney, Texas, to the late Clayton Ethard Robertson, Sr. and Luah Cunningham Robertson. She graduated from Olney High School in 1953 and spent most of her life in Olney. She graduated from El Centro College in Dallas, Texas with a degree in Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked at Doctor's Hospital in Dallas. Shirley was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Novella Lee and Maylene Willis; and three brothers, Namon Robertson, Clayton E. Robertson, Jr. and Wayne Robertson.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steven P. and Tonya McWhorter of Royce City, Texas; one sister, Joy Graham of Olney; granddaughter, Ashley Adams and husband Gary of Overton, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper Adams and Scarlett Adams.

Family visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
