Steve Goodwin, age 95, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Azle, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton St. Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Services are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Steve was born June 23, 1917 in Chanute, Kansas to the late Roy Ellworth and Bessie Elma Hambleton Goodwin. He married Mary Marie Brazelton on March 4, 1945 in Olney, Texas. She preceded him in death March 24, 2012. Steve was in the oil production industry. Steve served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He had moved to Azle, Texas in 2002 from Post, Texas. Steve was a member of the Churches of Christ. He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Goodwin in 2006 two grandchildren, Christopher Goodwin, and Craig Mullins three brothers: Hubert Earl Goodwin, Truman O. Goodwin, and Lemuel Roy Goodwin and a sister Edith Sylvia Nadine Goodwin Epps.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary Charlene Carter and husband Thomas of Springtown, Texas four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two greatgreat grandchildren.
