Susan Colette Kilpatrick, age 67, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney, Texas, with Rev. Sean Reeves, pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Susan was born July 6, 1956, in Olney, Texas to the late Herbert H. Slater and Mildred (Kunkel) Slater. She was a lifetime resident of Olney and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She married Sam Kilpatrick on March 8, 1991, in Olney. Susan worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk at Tower Extrusions until her retirement. She loved to color and paint and was very artistic. She also enjoyed working in the yard when she was able. Susan had a very kind spirit and loved her family, friends and her church family unconditionally. Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed being the host for family gatherings. She would travel any distance to watch any and all of her grandkids' events and enjoyed being able to see them excel.

Susan is survived by her husband, Sam Kilpatrick of Olney; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Cody Clifton of Ft. Worth; three sons: Brent Kilpatrick and wife Rebecca of Houston, Lyle Livingston of Wichita Falls and Brad Kilpatrick of California; six grandchildren: Claire Clifton, Landon Livingston, Carleigh Clifton, Cassie Clifton, Baylee Kilpatrick and Tyler Kilpatrick; one great-grandchild, Layton Livingston; two brothers: Steve Slater and wife Cathy of Olney and Cary Slater of Olney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
