T. H. "Goober" Neal
Olney ~ T. H. "Goober" Neal, age 86, died August 2, 2015 in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas with Frankie Bailey, of Olney, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
"Goober" was born on April 16, 1929 in Olney, Texas to the late Newell Andrew Neal, Jr. and Myrtle G. (May) Neal. He married Theda Jo Thompson in 1953 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2009. He had worked for Harbison-Fischer for twelve years. He was later co-owner of Astro Mud in Graham. He retired as a promoter in the oil business. "Goober" had lived in the Ft. Belknap community since 1989.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Taylor and two brothers: Happy Jack Neal and Jim Bill Neal.
"Goober" is survived by two sons: Jack Neal and wife Pam of Olney and Mack Neal of Austin; two grandchildren: Clint Neal and wife Carmen of Olney and Melinda Neal of Dallas; and, two great-grandchildren: Chloe and Clara Neal.
Memorials may be made to the Olney Junior Livestock Association, P.O. Box 636, Olney, Texas 76374 or to the charity of one's choice.
