Ted Sandlin, age 62, died Monday, April 1, 2013 in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Ted was born on June 24, 1950 in Bessemer, Alabama to the late Mac and Dorothy (Kimbrel) Duncan. He was a resident of Olney since 1962, having moved here from Lincoln, Nebraska. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a truck driver and an oilfield roughneck.
He is survived by two sons: Christopher Sandlin of Marietta, Georgia, and Jeremiah Sandlin and wife Marissa of Olney, Texas; one daughter: Chelsea Miller and husband Michael of Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother: Dennis Sandlin and wife Mary of Cleveland, Alabama; one sister: Marilyn Calhoun and husband David of Cleveland, Alabama; and seven grandchildren.
