Tommy Wayne Keeter, age 88, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, in Graham, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 22, 2024 at Keeter Cemetery, with Dr Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church of Olney, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Tommy Wayne Keeter was born on August 22, 1936, in Elbert, Texas to the late Oliver Carl "O.C." and Grace Irene "Bobbie" (Parsley) Keeter.  He was a lifetime resident of Throckmorton and Young counties.  He married Lahonda McWhorter on January 24, 1954, in Megargel, Texas, and spent nearly seventy years together before she preceded him in death in April of 2023. He owned the Keeter Ranch with his wife and took great satisfaction in the ranching business and all it entailed. Wayne's favorite pastime was raising and racing thoroughbred horses, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lahonda Keeter, his parents, one brother, Fred Gossett and one sister, Jane Keeter.

Wayne is survived by his two sons: Jim and his wife Chris Keeter of Elbert, Texas, and Jerry Keeter of Olney, Texas, one daughter, Katherine Keeter, his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Larry Buck of Throckmorton, Texas, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
