Vanice D. Stennett, age 80, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Peach Tree Place in Weatherford, Texas. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Vanice was born on July 25, 1943, in Muenster, Texas to the late James Weldon and Olive Pauline (Coker) Branch. She married Leo (Buddy) Stennett in Olney, Texas on, March 9, 1963. She dedicated her life to helping others in the field of nursing as an LVN.
Vanice was preceded in death by her parents, James Weldon Branch and Olive Pauline (Coker) Branch, and two sisters, Janice Gale Wages and Annineta Ham
Survivors include her husband; Leo (Buddy) Stennett of Olney, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law; Teresa and Mike McShan of Iowa Park, Texas, and Lisa and Mark Self of Olney, Texas; three grandchildren: Jeremy McShan, Jace McShan, and Kaylah Hampton; and four great-grandchildren: Leigha Hampton, Logan Hampton, Lylah Hampton, and baby girl McShan due in September.
