Walter L. Powell, age 66, died Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home in Olney. Private family memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Walter was born on July 23, 1950 in Abilene, Texas. He had worked in the oilfield. He and Yolanda Guerra were married in 1994 and made Olney their home.
Walter is survived by his wife, Yolanda Powell of Olney; one son, Jimmy Lee Powell and wife Becky of Midland; three step-children: Mark Corwin and wife Rosanna of Olney, Kelli Belyeu and husband Kevin of Olney, and Amber Corwin of Olney. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
